The Bahrain GP held at Sepang saw the safety car end up mid pack during the formation lap and left the fans rather bemused as the FiA then installed a software ‘patch’ to the cars to enable them to run is such conditions. The delayed start produced some excellent moments but the whole thing seems very artificial and the full wet tyre appears to be an option the FiA won’t ever adopt.
Singapore will present different challenges being a street circuit with on track action at night. Valtteri Bottas has cycled between the two venues which is very impressive!
New into stock at MM we have some additional Gordon Murray signed McLaren F1 items as well as the first of the former museum collection that will be ‘dropped’ over the next few weeks. These include the post race interview table frontage from the 1996 Argentine GP won by Damon Hill – totally unique, as well as Alex Wurz’ custom Puma race boots from Williams.
A 1:8 scale Amalgam model of Sebastian Vettel’s 2011 Red Bull RB7 from the Japanese GP is a wonderful piece at a great price, whilst we have genuine signed caps from many of the leading drivers on the grid including Kimi, George, Oscar and Lewis.
Please keep an eye on the site as we showcase additional items over the next weeks!
Thank You,
Tim
