After an incident-filled Austrian GP, Max Verstappen now leads the championship as the circus takes a week off before heading to Silverstone.
However, the story of the weekend was surely Lando Norris’s superb second place in qualifying and third place podium finish in the race which all led to his well-deserved Driver of the Day award.
From the rich history of McLaren, we have two of the rarest collectible pieces new to stock in our F1 roadcar collection. The first is a hardback launch brochure from Monaco 1992. These exquisite publications were produced in very limited numbers and only given to pre-vetted serious buyers that would have included Rowan Atkinson, Ralph Lauren and the Sultan of Brunei. Whilst we have handled a softback example, this hardback variant is an exceptionally rare investment piece.
We also have an equally rare F1 owners manual. Only produced for the initial run of production vehicles, each was destined to be hand completed by Gordon Murray for the new owner. A few spares were printed at a huge cost in case of errors and this is such a piece – About as good as it gets!
Staying with McLaren, in recent years the 675LT production car is considered by many officianados to be the finest of the Sports Series cars produced and we have on offer a rare hardback owners manual. This is a very rare piece also normally available to owners only. Be quick!
Meanwhile, we are delighted to offer a 1:8 scale Amalgam model of the 2007 McLaren driven by Lewis Hamilton to his maiden GP win. This piece is the first in the edition of 99 with its plaque duly numbered 1/99. A wonderful addition to any collection.
From our F1 inventory, we are also showcasing these two pairs of gloves from F1 World Champions: Fernando Alonso’s ING Renault Puma gloves from 2009 and Sebastian Vettel’s Alpinestars Red Bull promo gloves from 2013.
Thanks,
Tim
