Senna Collection

After another incident-packed race weekend at Sochi, Lewis Hamilton finally reached the incredible milestone of 100 race wins, but there was heartbreak for Lando Norris who was set for his maiden win until the rain set in and he made the call to carry on with slicks.

However, there is no doubt that McLaren is resurgent and Norris’ time will come.

This week, we showcase our Senna collection, with some wonderful pieces from the great Brazilian’s career. New into stock we have a hand-signed Christmas Card with Sao Paolo postmark address to Phil Boore at McLaren in Woking. A superb signature on Senna stationery with undoubted provenance.

Our resident artist, Ben Payne has produced two stunning original artworks in different styles. ‘Brazilian Eyes’ captures the intensity of Senna in his yellow helmet, whilst ‘Casino Champion’ is a large and atmospheric piece that depicts one of his most memorable wins – attacking the hairpin during his sixth victory at Monaco in 1993.

From his Team Lotus period, we have another exclusive signed piece with provenance, from one of the production teams that worked with the late Russell Bulgin on a special magazine article, a hand-signed image of Senna at speed driving a rally car in the Welsh Forest.

Fight to the Finish is a very well-known painting by Alan Fearnley depicting the epic battle between Senna and Mansell at Monaco in 1992. It was also the last limited edition hand signed by the late Brazilian and is highly prized by collectors. Our example is museum-quality framed ready to hang. Superb.

At the other end of the budget scale, we offer “Italian Portfolio”, a long out-of-production boxed set of high-quality photographic images of Senna racing in F1 in Italy over the years. One of the first officially approved tribute sets after his untimely death in 1994.

Finally, we offer “the boy from Sao Paolo”, a superb resin cast bust by Peter Close of a thoughtful Senna.

Thank you,

Tim
