After the drama of Monza, F1 takes a break before returning to Sochi. The championship fight has been intensified whilst there was universal joy for McLaren’s first win since 2012, first 1-2 since 2010 and a popular return to the top step for Daniel Ricciardo.
Meanwhile, the long-awaited Netflix “Schumacher” documentary is airing from Wednesday 15th September. Covering Michael’s entire career with contributions from the family, this intimate portrait of the legendary driver has been eagerly awaited.
We have been privileged to handle several great Michael Schumacher pieces since we started MM. This week, we showcase our current collection, starting with the wonderful 1:8 scale Fine Art Replica model of the Jordan 191 he drove on his Formula 1 debut at Spa Francorchamps in 1991. My personal memories of that weekend as part of the Jordan team remain some of my fondest. This incredibly detailed and accurate model is one of the last two available worldwide.
From Michael’s 2010 return to F1 after a sabbatical, we offer a stunning replica of his AMG Petronas Mercedes Schuberth helmet. In fluo orange with correct detailing and HANS tethers, this would grace any serious collection.
Our resident fine artist, Ben Payne has produced “Red Mist”, a unique original acrylic on canvas portrait painting of Michael in his Schuberth Ferrari helmet. This modern original is high gloss resin sealed and ready to hang.
We are also privileged to offer a wonderful Michael Schumacher signature on Bridgestone notepaper, framed and supplied with an ‘Artists Proof’ giclee print on canvas by David Burk of Michael winning during his championship year in 2000: the first Ferrari drivers title since Jody Scheckter in 1979.
Thank you,
Tim
