🎅 Santa’s Come Early, Portimao is Back! 🇵🇹

One of the best announcements that F1 has made for sometime greeted the MM inbox this week – the return of the Portuguese GP for 2027/28 to replace Zandvoort.

Whilst my own fond memories of Portugal are from the Estoril races, there is no doubt that the Portimao circuit is popular with drivers and fans.

Lewis Hamilton has won both GPs held there and we have a Ferrari cap hand signed by the 7x World Champion. Back in the Estoril era, Nigel Mansell was black flagged in 1989 after reversing in the pit lane and then went on to collide with Ayrton Senna. We have a superb framed Gestione Sportiva invitation signed by Mansell, Prost, Berger and Piero Ferrari. 

Michael Schumacher won his second GP at Estoril in 1993, whilst Alain Prost secured his 4th F1 WDC title by finishing second.  We have a great hand signed and framed black and white portrait of Alain from that year, his last season in F1.

We have several Michael Schumacher pieces including a pair of. Christmas hats that were personally sent to Sir Frank Williams in lieu of Xmas cards – the perfect gift – or perhaps a special Ferrari carbon casket with a race used and certified valve and Ferrari watch, a signed Bridgestone notelet that is framed and offered with a framed giclee of Michael in the Ferrari or a hand signed Benetton promo card offered with a genuine United Colors of Benetton embroidered race suit patch?
