Sadness and Chaos

The F1 community was united in reflection and sadness last week at the news of Eddie Jordan’s untimely passing aged 76. I knew EJ well in the 1990s, having been one of the initial 43 employees of the Jordan Grand Prix team. Suffice to say his charisma, humour, tenacity, hard work and authenticity won him many friends and created memories to last a lifetime. May he rest in peace. 

Meantime, the Chinese GP was rather chaotic, but McLaren look to be the class of the field at present. We are delighted to offer a Pirelli cap signed by Lando Norris to the peak, countersigned by Zak Brown and Oscar Piastri on the underside. Ferrari had barely stopped celebrating Lewis Hamilton’s sprint race win when the DSQ of both cars for different infringements left them pointless on Sunday. However, Ferrari collectors can ease the disappointment with a choice with of a mirror signed by Lewis Hamilton mounted with a Scuderia Ferrari chassis plate or a leather Paddock Club ipad sleeve signed by Lewis, Charles and reserve driver, Zhou.

We have a collection of fantastic original race used pieces new to the site, including an original Tyrrell 1996 024 suspension cover from the Yamaha powered race car of Mika Salo, signed by the late Ken Tyrrell and Mika. This comes with amazing provenance.

For the race suit collector, a Heinz Harald Frentzen race used 1999 Jordan suit is a rare find from Jordan’s best ever season , whilst we have a 2008 Nico Rosberg race used Williams example too.

A beautiful Bell replica Ralf Schumacher helmet with signed dedication from the year 2000 makes for a stunning display piece, whilst a very rare rear wing end from a 1995 Simtek, bearing 24 original signatures including Schumacher, Hakkinen and Hill is a one off rarity.
