Genuine Supermarine Spitfire Propeller Section

This is the main piece of a Spitfire propeller by Rotol including its heavy alloy machined boss fixing. It was salvaged from The Kent Spitfire after a difficult landing at Biggin Hill when the aircraft tipped forward and snapped its propeller. This piece is 50cm high and would be ideal to convert into a side table or to have the full prop reinstated for display. It has all original markings.
Spitfire IXe TA805, otherwise known as the Kent Spitfire, is based at the historic former RAF Battle of Britain fighter station, Biggin Hill. It is flown as a flying memorial to all those who flew, built, maintained and were protected by the Spitfire during the Second World War.

50% of the proceeds from this piece will be donated to NHS Charities out of respect for their magnificent efforts to defy Covid-19
Thank you!
