Pedro Diniz 1998 race used Bieffe F1 helmet
This original carbon kevlar “aero” helmet was provided by Bieffe of Italy under contract and prepared for Pedro by the factory. Pedro Diniz 1998 race used Bieffe F1 helmet The distinctive “Arrow” design was developed by Pedro in honour of his fellow Brazilian F1 driver, the late Carlos Pace who used a similar design in the 1970s before his untimely death in 1977.
It is numbered “A 98 05 PD” to the rear and has obvious signs of race use. The radio equipment has been removed, but the helmet still has small “Gurney flaps” fitted to the rear to reduce buffeting.
The helmet is sourced direct from the former Chief Race Team Mechanic for the Arrows Formula 1 squad in 1997 and 1998 and is fitted with an ‘anti-fog’ visor that is hand signed by Pedro Diniz.
A stunning piece and arguably the best priced original race used and signed F1 helmet available on the market today.
The helmet lining foam has slightly deteriorated over 21 years, but the original Snell rating is still fully intact.
