Description
Original enamel nose badge from John Surtees 1964 Ferrari 158 with full provenance
A wonderful piece of F1 history, we are privileged to offer the original enamelled nose badge from the 1964 Ferrari F158 driven by John Surtees to his F1 World Championship.
This historic piece is accompanied by a Letter of Authentication hand signed by John in 2014 when he donated the badge to the Henry Surtees Foundation that was set up to raise funds after the untimely death of his son Henry in a freak F2 accident at Brands Hatch in 2009. It has been in a private collection for the past nine years.
The letter explains how the damaged badge was removed and given to John when the car was restored for its American owner.
An unrepeatable historic piece from the last British Ferrari F1 Champion and the only man to win World Championships on both two wheels and four.
