Nelson Piquet Jr. A Bell Racing Official Marketing Helmet for Renault F1 2009
Motorsport Memorabilia is pleased to offer this superb factory produced official marketing helmet of Nelson Piquet Jr obtained via the Renault F1 team.
The helmet is a Bell RS3 Snell rated shell, factory painted in pearlescent white and orange to the design used by NPJ based upon that of his 3 times F1 World Champion father. It bears sponsors logos of ING and Mutua Madrilena as well as NPJ’s own teardrop Brazilian flag logo. The clear visor has a white Renault team strip and is mounted with bespoke anodised red pivots per Nelson’s original race helmets.
2009 was a very controversial year for NPJ after it emerged that he was ordered to deliberately crash his car in Singapore 2008 to force a safety car and allow his team mate, Fernando Alonso to benefit from track position and pit stops to win the race. He subsequently left F1, but went on to become the inaugural FIA Formula E Champion in the 2014-15 season
This fantastic Bell factory painted helmet comes with the rarely available full set of its original box, manual, and a Renault F1 authentication card.
