Mika Hakkinen McLaren 1999 race used Sparco racesuit (non tobacco ‘mirror man’)

This race used suit was manufactured by Sparco for Mika during his second FiA Formula 1 World Championship season. It is a “non tobacco” version used at races where West branding was outlawed in Europe and is referred to as the “mirror man” type. It is photo matched to have been used at Silverstone 1999 where Mika secured pole position but retired in the race – that will be long remembered for Michael Schumacher’s lap 1 accident when he broke his leg.

The suit has a production label marked as #12/99 allocated on 08.03.99 as
well as the full FiA safety rating markings.
