The 1998 and 1999 Formula 1 World Champion – Mika Hakkinen – remains one of the most popular drivers with our collector clients. Following the previous sale of a McLaren presentation steering wheel, Motorsport Memorabilia is now privileged to have the opportunity to offer this original bespoke Nardi steering wheel from the 1994 McLaren MP4/9 as driven by Mika.

In 1994, Hakkinen adopted the ‘flat top’ design used by his mentor Ayrton Senna during  the 1993 season, whilst team mate Martin Brundle used a smaller diameter circular wheel. This example is McLaren factory engraved with its 94 year serial number to the rear and features Shell, Peugeot and Nardi logos.
