Michael Schumacher signed 1996 Ferrari engineers shirt from Francesco Uguzzoni

This superb Ferrari team shirt was made by Italian design house, Cerruti 1881, for the Scuderia in 1996.

Bearing the Ferrari shield as well as embroidered logos of Shell, Magnetoi Marelli, Marlboro (full) and Cerruti 1881, this shirt was allocated to senior engineer, Francesco Uguzzoni and carries his embroidered name to the chest. This was his own first season as part of the travelling race team, working directly with Michael Schumacher and Francesco’s first 1996 race was Michael’s Spa Francorchamps win in heavy rain.

This was Francesco’s team shirt from that very day in F1 history, complete with some residual staining from the victory champagne celebrations. Michael Schumacher personally signed the rear yoke for him after the weekend in black sharpie.

This shirt has been lightly but professionally cleaned to keep the signature intact, but still retains residual patina / marking.

Francesco went on to become head mechanic for the Scuderia and received the winning team trophy on the podium of the 2008 Turkish GP.

A superb piece with a fantastic history with one of the best original Michael Schumacher signatures we have seen.
