Full set of Jacques Villeneuve’s 1997 World Championship FiA scrutineering passes with Williams LOA

1997 was the last World Championsip season to date for Williams with Jacques Villeneuve, a season that culminated in controversy with his collision with Michael Schumacher at the Jerez finale.

At each race, the cars are scrutineered and a sticker is applied to the chassis to confirm compliance. In 1997, his chief mechanic carefully removed and retained all of the scrutineering labels from Jacques’ race chassis and at the end of the season mounted them on a commemorative Renault poster that has been hand signed by Jacques and framed.

This is a superb piece accompanied by a detailed letter from Jonathan Williams from Williams F1 confirming the chassis that were race used by Jacques, which of course match the set offered here.

An exceptional, unique and complete set of FiA passes from chassis #1 and #4 used by Jacques to win the 1997 Formula 1 World Championship.

An unrepeatable, genuine historic piece of F1 memorabilia.

NB we also have the corresponding set from Heinz Harald Frentzen’s 1997 season, mounted on a signed poster but unframed.
