Bernie Ecclestone’s personal ‘new’ Hockenheim presentation plaque from 2002

In 2002, F1 returned to a Tilke redesigned Hockenheim Circuit which was shorter than the previous layouts.

At the opening ceremony, F1 VIP guests were presented with a commemorative framed plaque depicting the layout by artist Andreas Heinrich.

Bernie Ecclestone was presented with no 1 of 100 and later donated this rare personal piece to the BEN charity auction run by Bonhams at Brooklands in 2004. This is a rare piece from Bernie’s own collection with perfect provenance.
