Description

Ayrton Senna 1988 Belgian Grand Prix used visor, hand signed by Senna, with FOCA authentication.

We are privileged to offer this incredible original used visor from the late, great Ayrton Senna’s first World Championship year in 1988, complete with superb provenance.

This clear Bell XFM1 visor was used by Ayrton Senna at the 1988 Belgian Grand Prix weekend at Spa Francorchamps. Senna won the race from pole position and went on to secure his first World Championship in the McLaren Honda MP4/4 when the team won 15 out of 16 races.

It was later hand signed by Ayrton in 1992 in black marker for the FOCA official who obtained it from McLaren for his friend. The brief handwritten note on FOCA headed paper detailing this has been retained with the visor for the last 32 years in a private collection, providing incredible provenance.

This is the first time this incredible historic visor used and signed by Ayrton Senna has come to market and  is an unrepeatable opportunity for the serious collector.
