This unused carbon steering wheel shell was manufactured by McLaren for David Coulthard to use in the MP4/17D.

It remains un-drilled without paddles, electronics, dials or switch buttons but has been mounted with an original SPA quick release and Mercedes branded centre pad to the front. Marked ‘DC 02 2003’ to the rear with FiA sticker applied.

This race used 18 inch McLaren F1 GTR magnesium alloy OZ wheel is fitted with a Michelin slick tyre.

Finished in dark silver metallic with OZ and GTR logos, this wheel was used in 1996. It comes direct from a former McLaren team member and would make a fantastic coffee table or feature on a McLaren collection.
