The late Ian Hutchinson will be best remembered for designing the iconic Jordan 191 livery. He produced a side profile drawing of the car driven by Andrea De Cesaris in the 1991 British Grand Prix which was printed in limited numbers for team sponsors and guests.

This print has been hand signed by Ian and the late, great Eddie Jordan himself. It is A2 sized and framed in black with Perspex glazing ready to hang.

This has been in my personal collection since my time with the Jordan team.

Ex Jabouille Gordini artwork hand dedicated to Jean Pierre (Nr 15 of 20 produced)

MM are delighted to be offering selected pieces from the archive of the late Jean-Pierre Jabouille, whose diverse racing career included the very first F1 Grand Prix victory in a turbocharged car with Renault through to multiple LeMans podiums and succeeding Jean Todd as the head of Peugeot Sport when they were active in WSC and F1 as engine suppliers to McLaren and Jordan.

This Renault Gordini artwork celebrates the 10th anniversary of the successful Renault Gordini V6 engine including the 1974 WSC Championship, 1977 F2 Championship, 1978 LeMans 24 hour race and race victories in Formula 1.

The artwork is in its original plastic sleeve and has some centre creasing and light damage from storage but would frame beautifully at the buyers discretion. It has a handwritten dedication to Jean-Pierre from the artist and is numbered 15 of 20 copies produced.

Original Nick Faure pencil drawing of Stirling Moss in the 1961 Lotus 18, signed by Moss

Nick Faure is perhaps best known for his driving exploits, having been Porsche UK‘s resident test driver in the 1970s and competed at the 24 hours of LeMans no less than 11 times. He came second in class and sixth overall in 1975 in a privateer Porsche 911 RSR.

Perhaps less known are his skills as a fine artist, honed whilst he was at Stowe school.

Here we offer a superb pencil drawing of Moss in the cockpit of his Lotus 18, the car that he would be driving in his career ending accident in 1962 at Goodwood.

The original drawing was hand signed in full by Stirling in June 1961. Nick recalls ‘I opportunistically drove my early Mini Cooper S to Rob Walker’s London Road workshop at Pippbrook Garage in Dorking. I saw that Stirling’s own Mini Cooper was parked outside and patiently waited for Stirling and was rewarded with a hand written / signed note from Stirling to me, as well as Stirling’s full signature to the drawing.’

The original note is affixed to the rear of the frame, wishing Nick every success with his drawing exploits and is countersigned by Nick.

‘Stirling then left Pippbrook heading towards Guildford and I tried to follow him. Despite having a Cooper S vs his basic Cooper, Stirling’s natural skill was amazing. At the sharp right / left under the Gomshall railway bridge he balanced the car on the throttle without braking as evidenced by his unlit brake lights.’

NB The frame and mount show signs of ageing and we would recommend the drawing is re-mounted at the buyers discretion.
