After a year with no Grand Prix at Monaco in 2020, normality is slowly returning with up to 7500 spectators at this years event. Ironically, this is not one of Lewis Hamilton’s most successful tracks, with only three wins around the winding streets of the principality.
In this week’s newsletter, we showcase some superb items relating to the rich history of Formula One in Monaco. From Kimi Raikkonen’s 2012 Monaco race weekend, we have an original visor with its Zylon panel, complete with tear-offs hand signed by the 2007 F1 World Champion.
Olivier Panis unexpectedly won the 1996 race in the wet, and we are delighted to offer an original Bell marketing helmet from his later years with Toyota. This wonderful helmet will grace any serious collection.
In 1959, Jack Brabham won his first Grand Prix and the first race for Cooper climax driving his T51 car in Monaco. We have a wonderful continuation steering wheel made to the exact original specification available.
Likewise, Stirling Moss beat the mighty Ferraris in 1961, in the diminutive Lotus. We offer a Moto Lita steering wheel hand signed by the late great Moss.
