Whilst preparing the first newsletter of 2021 with the UK in a full Covid19 lockdown, we were nonetheless excited at the prospect of Aston Martin formally rejoining the F1 grid this year. Teaser images on the website and the announcement of Cognizant as title sponsor point towards a return of British Racing Green to the grid.
With that theme in mind, we are pleased to showcase some fantastic new items this week, including a race used Aston Martin works DB3S steering wheel from the 1950’s, ‘bookended’ with a 2001 steering wheel from the Bentley EXP Speed 8 from the Bentley Boys Le Mans campaign in 2001. Great and unique pieces of history that also present wonderfully as a pair of sportscar racing collectibles.
In addition, we have some fantastic pieces from British drivers including Surtees, Hill and Mansell, as well as a personal item from the legendary World Land Speed Record driver, Sir Malcolm Campbell.
Many thanks,
Tim
