Stirling Moss Mille Miglia 1955

The ingenious roller map with its route notes compiled by Jenks during pre-race reconnaissance was key to the British duo’s performance in their German silver race car #722. These pace notes were pencilled onto a lengthy roll of paper which were housed in a waterproof, custom built aluminium box with a perspex window which Jenks could read as he would the roll on in pace with their progress. Moss and Jenks devised a system comprising of hand signals so Jenks could advise Moss of any time saving cuts or hazards along the way.

To commemorate this legendary Mille Miglia win in 1955, as well as paying tribute to the late Denis Jenkinson, Stirling Moss ltd have hand crafted a reproduction of this roller map containing a copy of Jenks pace notes which have been lovingly preserved. These roller maps are available in a strict limited edition, this is edition 151 of 722.
