After a calamitous Sunday at Spa Francorchamps, the F1 convoy is now setting up at Zandvoort for the first time since 1985 when the late, great Niki Lauda won his last F1 race.
Nestled close to the coast behind sand dunes about 38 miles from the often giddy attractions of Amsterdam, Zandvoort has seen triumph and tragedy in equal measure. The harrowing and fatal scenes of Piers Courage in flames and David Purley trying desperately to assist Roger Williamson in his burning car whilst the race carried on are both undoubted lows, whilst James Hunt scored his maiden win here in 1975 in the privateer Hesketh, holding off relentless pressure from Niki Lauda in the Ferrari.
The Orange Army will be out in force for sure. Will they see Max secure a home win? At least we can relish the prospect of some actual racing laps and someone other than Bernd Maylander being driver of the day!
Meanwhile, this week we showcase some of our driver racewear items, starting with a superb replica Sergio Perez Racing Point helmet with race used visor and a Michael Schumacher replica helmet from his 2010 season when he returned to F1 with AMG Mercedes.
We have Sebastian Vettel signed official replica Red Bull gloves and Fernando Alonso 2008 Renault race boots, 2008 Renault promotional race suit as well as suits from Romain Grosjean (Renault and Lotus), Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas (Williams).
Thank you
