The 2022 F1 season is officially sealed now that Red Bull and Max Verstappen have received their trophies at the FiA gala presentation.

We have in stock two very rare menus from the 1987 and 1988 FiA gala events when Nelson Piquet / Williams Honda and Ayrton Senna / McLaren Honda were affirmed as Champions.

Senna made his F1 debut driving for Toleman in 1984 and we are delighted to offer a truly wonderful 1/43 scale display cased diorama by SMTS of Ayrton driving at Casino Square Monaco in heavy rain where he secured second place hunting down Prost before the race was controversially stopped.

From the Williams Honda heyday, we offer a superb print by Nicholas Watts depicting Mansell and Piquet at Brands Hatch in 1986, framed and ready to hang.

For the race suit collector we have a stunning 2006 full FiA rated suit from Giancarlo Fisichella when he was wingman to Fernando Alonso in Renault’s Constructors winning season that was Fernando’s second WDC year.

The Gordon Murray designed Brabham BMW BT52 was a very effective title winning car and we have a superb LAT photographic framed image of the car “flaming” at Montreal in 1983 as Piquet followed Alboreto’s Tyrrell.

Of course Gordon Murray’s most celebrated car has to be the McLaren F1 / GTR. New into stock we offer a collection of six 1/43 scale GTR short tail models by Minichamps as well as a stunning Richard Wheatland original watercolour of the #24 Gulf GTR from 1995 driven by Mark Blundell, Ray Bellm, and Maurizio Sandro Sala to 4th at the 24 Heures du Mans.

Please watch this space for more incoming rare McLaren F1 related pieces over the next few weeks. Meantime we cannot resist featuring what has to be one of the ultimate McLaren F1 memorabilia items ever offered to market – the front ‘bonnet’ panel from McLaren F1 XP2 hand signed by Gordon Murray with provenance from McLaren / Derek Waeland, Production Director. A one off unrepeatable opportunity.

Thanks,

Tim
