🏁 24 Heures du Mans 🏁

The greatest endurance race in the world returns to Circuit de la Sarthe this weekend. With a much more competitive field in the top category there is significant new interest in this years race, after Ferrari won the centennial event last year.

New into stock we have a vintage 1972 Ferrari / Personal steering wheel hand signed by 6x LeMans winner Jacky Ickx and Mario Andretti.  

Jacky Ickx has also signed the base plaque to a very detailed 1/43 model of his 1969 winning Gulf Ford GT40 which makes a superb desk piece 

Derek Bell won the race five times. A signed 1982 programme is available as well as a wonderful 1/8 Amalgam model of the McLaren F1 GTR driven to third place in 1995 by Derek, his son Justin and Andy Wallace. 

From the archive of McLaren’s Barry Letts (who developed the McLaren F1 GTR), we offer a superb Simon Ward print of JJ Lehto crossing the line in 1995 to win the race first time out for McLaren. This print was only given to team members and has been signed by JJ. 

Steve McQueen’s wonderful movie filmed at the 1970 race showcased the Porsche vs Ferrari battle with race sequences driven by Derek Bell and David Piper amongst others. We have a beautiful bust of Steve McQueen in character as Michael Delaney and a hand built and display cased 1/12 model of David Piper’s Ferrari P4 with signed plaque available 

Finally this week, the perfect UK number plate for the Le Mans enthusiast including reference to the ACO – Automobile Club Ouest – and the race duration : H24 ACO.
